The focus of the Sr.Software Engineer is to handle the planning, design and build of IT solutions, based on functional specifications, while meeting quality and performance requirements and technical constraints. It also involves handling the scheduling and deployment of IT solutions across multiple countries and/or functions.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Organize solution design, development and deployment efforts for projects by compiling the required resources and assigning responsibilities according to a defined time schedule
  • Ensure that detailed designs match high level designs and are traceable to requirements in functional specification
  • Ensure designs produced adhere to architectural roadmap and support the development, execution and operations of solutions and solutions meet requirements outlined in the design documentation
  • Ensure the overall user experience is taken into account when designing and deploying new solutions and services and developed solutions are peer reviewed, formally documented and signed off by business
  • Ensure that all work is delivered to agreed time, cost and quality constraints and initiate solution testing to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Establish standardized design and development processes to enable cost effective delivery. Authorize and conduct service handover and lead the go-live authorization discussions with the other work streams
  • Ensure that all release and deployment packages can be tracked, installed, tested, verified and backed out (if required) and ensure that release delivers the expected outcomes and value for the customers
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Solution Delivery scope.
     

Minimum requirements
What you ll bring to the role:-
 

  • Bachelor degree in engineering (BE/BTech) or MCA in computer science or related area with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in the Business Process Management or complex IT implementations with multiple technologies and with at least 2 years of experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry preferably in the Drug Development function.
  • Good understanding of Business Process Management (BPM) Lifecycle and must have worked on large scale implementations in the past.
  • Very strong background on Planning and Delivering solutions and delivering Projects using BPM suites like Appian (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Strong Background in Process Architecture to classify process levels and apply industry frameworks like APQC and developing Process Models using BPMN modeling standards.
  • Should have a good knowledge on identifying potential applications of AI/ML, RPA etc. in process automation
  • Experience with formal requirements specification and formal system validation and a good exposure to Application Operations and Platform operations is a plus
  • Must have Knowledge of Estimating project scope and level of effort for new projects and/or existing projects that require changes tasks, duration, resourcing, etc.
  • Broad technical background, working understanding of the following: DB development, Java development, XML and related technologies, integration and messaging technologies, BPM Suites like Appian, Oracle BPM, Pega etc.
