The Senior UX Specialist in Interaction Design follows a task-centered design approach that ensures the users goals are at the center of product development. The best candidate for this role will help improve the overall user experience by integrating user-centered design processes into the software development life cycle, contributing interaction design expertise, and translating requirements into intuitive, consistent, and compelling user experiences
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently produce comprehensive and accurate deliverables in a timely manner for a variety of projects at a time Work is comprehensive and completed in a timely manner
- Facilitate all UX activities on assigned projects, monitor the information gathered, and help ensure it s translated into all UX deliverables for the project. Full design process is followed; project guidance is provided to other
- Demonstrate ability to understand UX objectives and communicate best-practices, standards, and design principles to project teams. Shared understanding of goals helps team efficiency
- On assigned projects, influence UX decision-making according to knowledge gained about standards, processes, and best practices decision-making is more effective
- Ensure project goals are met by accurately communicating UX decisions and goals to project teams Revisions are minimized; projects are managed with reduced management oversight
- Engage with project teams to increase familiarity with specific product areas, developing deep familiarity with the UX decisions for the product. Product and business knowledge is gained and informs project decisions
- Proactively provide suggestions and feedback to projects across the team. Impact on projects across the team is made
- Gain knowledge from industry trends and best practices to bring innovation to standards and practices across the team. Knowledge is gained and applied to project work; innovative ideas are provided
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4 years work or equivalent experience performing UX activities
- Undergraduate or post-graduate degree; Relevant theory knowledge
- A portfolio of work reflecting a skill set commensurate with the job level
- Expert with the tools and activities required for job tasks Has tactical knowledge and is quick
- Proven ability to deliver high quality work that reflects solid understanding of users and our products Optimal solutions are arrived at quickly
- Ability to influence the team s success through collaboration; collaboration is efficient and produces high quality solutions
- Has an advanced understanding and personal philosophy of UX and can influence that of team members; Facilitates team engagement in goals and practice
