We re seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to aid us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through advanced computational methods!

FEP+, Glide, Maestro, WaterMap, and LiveDesign are just a few examples of the programs we ve created.

As a member of the LiveDesign team, you ll collaborate with a group of passionate engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and tinkerers in their efforts to develop a rich single-page web application that allows scientists to leverage the power of physics-based simulations through all stages of the drug discovery process. Using your love of web development and eye for coding quality, you will play an essential role in virtual experimentation on massive compute grids and the analysis of the resulting data.

What you ll do:

  • Collaborate with our QA team and other software developers to architect systems and set up automation frameworks to effectively test our applications
  • Use your own judgment to fill in gaps as you deliver functionality to meet the QA teams needs for automation
  • Enable our QA team to write and maintain a large suite of automation cases across a wide variety of functionality and user interactions
  • Work with a cross-functional agile team of geographically disparate members
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues with the performance and stability of tests
  • Participate in code reviews

What you ll need:

  • Solid software engineering experience, including issue tracking, source code management, code reviews, and testing frameworks
  • A great understanding of the browser testing ecosystem (for example, Selenium, Puppeteer, or Playwright)
  • Experience developing automation framework from scratch
  • Familiarity with QA concepts and methodologies, test cases management, and CI systems
