JOB DETAIL

Promantra is currently looking for experienced AR Callers with the below capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Good understanding of Accounts Receivable.
  • Calling Insurance Companies to follow up on Claims filed, to expedite payment.
  • Work claims that are pending or have been denied or incorrectly paid by Insurance carriers
  • Review claims that have been put on hold to identify the causes and address issues causing them to remain on hold
  • Work denials aim to identify why claims have been denied, and handle follow-up accordingly.
  • Should possess knowledge in AR analysis, AR calling, denial management, and appeals.
  • Undertakes denial follow-up and appeals work wherever required.
  • Reviewing, appealing, and rejecting unpaid and denied claims.
  • Documents and takes appropriate action on all claims which has been analyzed and followed up in the client's software.
  • Verifying patient's insurance coverage
  • Analyzes outstanding claims and initiates collection efforts as per the aging report.
  • Handle all correspondence via mail, email, and any necessary refunds; perform other duties as assigned by management

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of insurance carrier payment policies, practices, and amounts.
  • Medical Billing, Insurance Billing, and AR experience preferred.
  • Previous insurance experience: Claims follow-ups, denials follow-ups.
  • Previously worked with Medicare HMOs and Medicaid HMOs from different states.
  • Knowledge of ICD 10 codes
  • Strong computer skills. Basic understanding of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work while meeting tight deadlines
  • Experience in an environment where calls were monitored and scored as well as metrics applied to individual performance is helpful.
  • Ability to deal calmly and effectively with situations via telephone while maintaining and promoting a positive company image.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to present information and solutions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete all work assigned
  • Experience in Athena Advanced MD, Allscripts & Kareo will be an added advantage
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • An ability to work independently.
  • The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other people within the company.
  • An ability to prioritize and manage expectations.
  • Thorough knowledge of different types of Denials
