The Network Systems Administrator defines, designs and implements network communications and solution improvements.
Proposes and implements system improvements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
Handles the load configuration of a central data communication processor and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks.
Coordinates terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing.
Provides recommendations to manager for systems needs and all external and internal factors related to the control room in order to operate it efficiently.
Solve problems through shift leads and Computer Operators.
Provides feed-back on operations staff.
Maintains inventory and orders supplies when necessary.
Assists in revising or establishing new systems to improve productivity and computer efficiency.
Develops procedures and control mechanisms to improve operations and reduce operational errors.
Interfaces daily with customers and vendors.
Monitors quality assurance and security of data.
Define and verify that the test process has been performed accurately, analyze results and recommend process improvements.
Monitors, tracks and manages configuration and accessing delivery process of software coding for the lottery including games and parameters claims.
Verifies and analyzes the accuracy and quality of the hardware and software products through maintenance.
Basic understanding of lottery operations including systems, sales, retailer network management, POS (including wagers, validations, messages), game features, security, back-up and internal control systems, retailer networks, prize payouts and ticket distribution, procurement and administration.
Technical knowledge of operating systems utilities used to diagnose and identify problems and failures.
Approves action requests and specifies purchase requirements.
