JOB DETAIL

Roles and Responsibilities

Summary:

1) The candidate will be supporting the Production Database of the SFMS applications
2) Ensure to monitor, track, fix and report the health status of the databases

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Candidate should have strong knowledge on Database having worked as Database Administrator.
2) Candidate should have experience in trouble shooting GI, Database and performance tuning issues in RAC/Non-RAC set up.
3) Candidate should have good knowledge of Windows and UNIX environments (AIX/RHEL).
4) Strong Performance tuning experience with a good understanding of database statistics, Locks & Blocking sessions, Explain plan analysis, AWR report analysis, Server resource monitoring etc.
5) Experience on applying/maintaining GI and Database & DB security patches.
6) Should be able to create, maintain Dataguard databases, troubleshoot and fix DG issues.
7) Strong in handling all types of backups, refreshes and recovery procedures.
8) Good understanding of database partitioning, Golden Gate implementation & maintenance, database security architecture and maintenance.
9) Responsible for making detailed technical RCA of problems, and taking appropriate remedial actions.
10) Adding and resizing of ASM disk groups.
11) Work on issues that couldn’t be resolved by L2 team.
12) Formulating Backup and Recovery strategies.
13) Database upgrades/migrations.
14) Install and configure Oracle enterprise manager Grid control.

16) Physical and Logical database designing
17) Handle RAC databases from a design, implementation, management and technical support perspective.
19) Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the DB.
20) Execution of data migration jobs and scripts as required.
21) Assist the infrastructure team in sizing hardware used for the DB.
22) Contribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
23) Create a reliable backup strategy. Ensure database backups are appropriately
executed and periodic restorations are exercised to ensure backup quality.
24) Determine and document DB policies, procedures and standards.


Experience:

1) Candidate should have strong 7+ years of experience as Database Administrator.
2) Candidate should have good experience on RAC,Database Administration,Dataguard,Golden Gate including open source DB.
3) Candidate should have good working experience on Windows and any one of the UNIX environments (AIX/RHEL).
4) Candidate should follows through on all assignments and takes ownership of business issues.
5) Hands on experience with DB standards and end user applications-translating capacity requirements into infrastructure deployment technology.


Knowledge:

 

 

1) Candidate should have strong knowledge of Linux/Unix Internals, Systems/Application backend Design & Architecture- Mandatory
2) Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump). - Mandatory
3) Oracle Partitioning. - Mandatory
4) Architecture design principles.
5) Strong practical experience of ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM) environment (19C).- Mandatory
6) Must be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail.
7) Candidate should have Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. - Mandatory
Technical Skills:


Data guard, RAC, Database Administration, ASM, RMAN, Expdp, Golden gate, scripting languages.

Certifications:

Oracle Certified Professional - Mandatory
MySQL Database Administrator - Desirable

Technical Skills:

Primary Mandatory Skills:
Dataguard,RAC,Database Administration,ASM,RMAN,Expdp,Goldengate, scripting langauages.
Secondary Desirable Skills:
