Roles and Responsibilities
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our product and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and deliver highly technical content for different deliverables.
- Work with physical product samples, taking photographs and screenshots as needed.
- Ability to interact with subject matter experts and co-ordinate the document reviews. Revise existing documentation as and when required.
- Ability to prioritize, schedule, multi-task and meet deadlines on time with effective quality.
- Ability to work independently with limited or no support.
- Must have good understanding of Document Development Life Cycle (DDLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
- Keep track of revisions and update documentation accordingly maintaining version control.
- Test software, make recommendations, report technical problems or inconsistencies, and validate end-user content for consistency with product functionality.
Desired Candidate Profile
Must have 3-4 years of Technical Writing experience in the creation, revision and maintenance of technical documentation under the direction of subject matter experts (SMEs) with attention to formatting, voice, audience, and detail. This documentation includes User Guides, Quick Install Guides, Application Notes etc.
- Bachelors or Master's degree in a Technical discipline preferably in Electronics/Computer Science.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, SnagIt, MS Office, Microsoft Visio and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Basic understanding of Wireless networking concept.
