The primary purpose of this role is to deliver analytical / decision services to Ignatiuz s Clients across the globe.
The incumbent works on the assigned projects & its stakeholder to understand the business challenges faced by them. Using expertise in analytics and ML, the incumbent provides structured and data-backed analytics solutions to create impact for the business. The role also demands an innovation-led approach to delivery by using evolving Data Science techniques/technologies.
Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership
- This is a data scientist level-2 role. The incumbent has to work with a team of Junior and Senior Data Scientists on many parallel workstreams. Has to work on projects hands-on, and help with stakeholder communications. Understand the business challenges faced and propose solutions. Has to deliver projects in parallel as an independent consultant
- Building, deployment and maintenance of analytical solutions (models, hypothesis, analyses & scenarios) across the spectrum of analytical maturity descriptive, inferential, predictive & prescriptive
- Leverage previously created data models, insights and analyses from across the project spectrum to drive positive business outcomes
- Drive efficiencies in analytical service delivery through automation and standardisation
- Provide a delightful and easy-to-work experience to the business stakeholders while setting clear expectations
Education:
- Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
- Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters
- Preferred Major Area of Study: Computer Information / Computer Science / Data Science
- Preferred Professional Certifications: Data Science / Mathematics / Statistics
Required Core Competencies and Experience:
- 2+ years experience in Python / R or other OOP language
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with data science or analytics in a business context
- Excellent communication & presentation skills with a track record of engaging with business project leads
- Flexibility and Problem-solving Ability
Must-Have Technical / Professional Qualifications:
- Conceptual expertise on Machine Learning topics like Regression, Binary & Multi-Class Classification, Clustering and Dimensionality Reduction
- Python/R implementation of the said ML algorithm using the latest libraries
- Implementation experience of Natural Language Processing, Web Crawling and Serialisation techniques
- Aptitude for data manipulation and Exploratory analysis techniques; comfortable using massive ( 10 s millions of rows) datasets, containing both structured and unstructured data
- Good to have experience of working & implementing analytics solutions in Cloud GCP/AWS or Big Data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.)
