JOB DETAIL

  • Successfully plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and  implementation of all aspects of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application development
  • Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for ServiceNow instance upgrades with the
  • Good understanding and implementation knowledge of custom application through App Engine.
  • Purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completes.
  • Coordinate and solve complex technical data and transformation issues.
  • Obtain and analyze/interpret business requirements to purpose sustainable solutions in ServiceNow.
  • Answer how to technical and application configuration questions.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets.
  • Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Enable tracking of cloud/virtual inventory
  • Manages and improves ServiceNow Discovery and ServiceNow Services Mapping for cloud inventory
  • Provides governance to ensure the integrity of the Configuration Management Database
  • Designs enhancements/improvements for the maturity of the CMDB and Configuration Management process and translates them into business requirements
  • Define configuration items and classes, their attributes, data collection, and governance that are important to support other ITSM modules and business objectives
  • Build and support integrations with data sources other than ServiceNow Discovery
  • Setup and administration of MID servers if needed
  • Add/update/remove Discovery credentials
  • Create/update/remove Discovery ranges and schedules
  • Monitor CMDB health and resolve conflicts between data sources. Interpret Discovery logs and data to diagnose issues.
  • Define identification and reconciliation rules
  • Create/update/remove identification and reconciliation rules
  • Produces management information, including KPIs and status reports, with an operational and a management focus
  • Effective troubleshooting skills across datacenter infrastructure components - Network, F5, Operating Systems, SAN, Virtualization
  • Ability to think analytically about problems and derive conclusions through research
  • Familiarity with systems monitoring, log investigation, and application awareness
  • Familiarity with user administration, Active Directory, LDAP, etc. and the ability to troubleshoot areas of user access
  • Excellent communication skills to provide timely updates on any and all issues, projects, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with datacenter hardware - servers, network appliances, backup hardware, etc.
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow Platform and Services
  • Deep knowledge in ServiceNow ITOM portfolio
  • Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting ServiceNow Discovery
  • Strong hands-on experience with REST and SOAP web services
  • Strong hands-on experience with scripting using JavaScript
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification (Preferred)
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification (Preferred)
