Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified T-SQL Database developer to design stable and reliable databases, according to our company’s needs. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving, and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively.
As part of our team, you will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency. You will also collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements. Communication and organization skills are keys for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude.
Responsibilities
- Design stable, reliable and effective databases.
- Modify databases according to requests and perform tests.
- Solve database usage issues and malfunctions.
- Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices.
- Gather user requirements and identify new features.
- Develop technical and training documents
- Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
- Ability to optimize large complicated SQL statements
Requirements
- Proven 4+ year work experience as a T-SQL Database developer.
- Very good work experience TSQL script writing, Writing Procedures, Functions and Views.
- Can develop and modify existing code to meet project needs.
- ETL Tool /SSIS will be added advantage.
- Effectively made use of Table Functions, Indexes, Analytical functions etc.
- Good knowledge on query optimization, Execution plans, and Indexes.
- Willing to work on migration projects, also ready to learn new things.
- Write and optimize in-application SQL statements
- Manage the organizations database technology to allow secure, efficient and effective access to the organization’s structured data
- Support projects through design, development, testing, and implementation.
- Conduct Database/Job Troubleshooting.
- Build complex queries and perform tuning to improve performance or solve issues.
- Demonstrated ability to write and tune Microsoft SQL Server procedures working with millions of rows of data
- An ability to understand front-end user requirements and a problem-solving attitude
