Roles and Responsibilities
Data Engineering skills with focus on Azure and Java development skills with strong knowledge of PL/SQL querying and fine tuning for optimum performance of reports / applications.
- Experience in Data Engineering
- Data warehousing and data engineering experience
- Experience working with backend systems that deal with massive, complicated datasets
- Working knowledge of data intake and processing pipelines
- Experience in Azure
- Demonstrate expertise in Azure tools specifically in Network setup, VM install and manage, SQL and NoSQL DB Design, Develop and Maintain, Data Factory Design, Execute, Fine tune, maintain
- Hands on scripting / Fine Tuning for performance of complex stored procedures
- Hands on experience designing data pipelines
- Deploy fully operational data warehouse solutions into development & test environments on Azure
- Good knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks (Pyspark)
- Good to have: Java programming skills
Desired Candidate Profile
- Data Engineer working in a team as an Individual contributor
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Azure big data’ technologies
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
Work Environment / Travel Requirements
Work hours will be in IST with a few hours of overlap with US work hours for collaboration with internal team and client.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields
- 4 - 5 years related professional experience
