Key Result Areas:

Lead / Senior VMware/Windows/Virtualization Engineer with 5+ years of experience in building and implementing new systems as well as overseeing systems migrations/upgrades, develop and implement effective deployment strategies. Takes on additional responsibilities and meets new challenges as a result - focused team player making strong contributions to long-term business success

Supports Global Operations for Windows and VMWARE.

Technical SPOC and escalation point for Window and VMware Team for multiple Projects and level1 technical approver of RFC.

Create and update documents for Audit, SOP, and DR purposes.

Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions.

Recommend and implement recent technology directions for a global infra system in collaboration with Design and Enterprise Architecture teams.

Lead the continual improvement of ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management across infrastructure services.

Acting as an escalation point for the business stakeholders in case of IT service issues.

Ensure proper implementation of global standards, policies, and systems platforms.

Drives the simplification and standardization of the global IT infrastructure landscape.

Conduct regular meetings with Business Relationship Managers and business leaders to review & level set business expectations vs deliverables.

Monitoring:

Virtual Machine's & ESX servers (CPU, Memory, Disk & Network Utilization) using vRealize Operations

ESXI Host Cluster, HA, DRS, vMotion, VMware Host profile configuration

SCOM Alerts for Physical and Virtual Infrastructure

Managing:

Extensive experience in Windows 2019/2012/2008/2003 servers at single or multi-domain Platforms.

Coordinate with customers for Upgrade and Patch for Windows, ESXi, and vCenter.

Strong experience with the VMware HA and VMware DRS.

Designed and implemented ESX server infrastructure environment, Administrated server consolidation program through the use of VMware ESX server and VMware Virtual Center, creating VMs, using/building VM templates and customization files, and scheduling tasks.

Creating/Managing Virtual Machines, creating clones and templates/images for deploying VMs, audit them for perfection,and managing utilities and applications installed on those VMs

Performed Virtual Machines backup, snapshots, cloning, P2V, and V2V conversion using VMware stand-alone convertor.

Configured HA and DRS on ESX clusters in VCenter, securing vCenter with Roles and permissions

Utilized vROPs to generate capacity and usage reports.

Working with Microsoft, VMware, DELL, HP, Cisco (UCS), Dimension One & ESP to fix major issues and implement in all the existing blades to prevent from repeating out-breaks and documenting the solution as KB

Schedule On-Call service (roaster) within the team and allocating required resources.

Handling escalations from team and customer.

Create and update documents for Audit, SOP, and DR purposes.

Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions.

Coordinate with customers for Upgrade and Patch for Windows, ESXi, and vCenter.

Providing Knowledge Transfer (KT) for new projects Implementation & existing projects movement/Expansion.

Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions.

Led multiple service improvement plans for environment stability thus, reducing the incident volume.

Led Version upgrade of VMWARE ESXi, vCenter, vROPs version across all Datacentres globally as standardization.

Review current technology and driveways to leverage and improve productivity.

Coordinate with customers for Upgrade and Patch for Windows, ESXi, and vCenter.

Migration/upgradation of 1000+ Windows Server 2003 & 2008 to earlier versions and ESXI 5.X to 6.X

Strong knowledge of Windows Server management and troubleshooting, Virtualization technologies Hyper-V, VMware, Disaster Recovery Planning, Data retention, and Data centre management.

Working with vendors for purchasing Dell and Cisco Servers.

Building, upgrading & decommissioning Windows Physical and Virtual Servers; troubleshooting Active Directory Services, DNS & DHCP; installing & configuring HP Blade, Enclosure and Dell Standalone, VXRail and CISCO UCS Servers

Performing P2V and V2V

Working on HA, DRS, and Clusters level configuration.

Performing VM and File Restore using NetBackup tool

o IP address reservation, DNS entry, DNS update audit log, DNS issue escalation & queue name (DHCP Identify in IP Pool
