We are looking for various roles in Business Development department including Business Development Managers for Smart Metering.

We are looking for candidates with strong interpersonal and communication skills, a focus on organization, and enhanced multitasking abilities. B2B sales, marketing and strategic analysis are important aspects of the position, along with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals. The ideal candidate has experience in smart metering projects, researching market trends, targeting relationships and using proven methods to develop our business strategy. The role requires regular interaction with senior most officers of client utilities and hence experience of handling such clientele will be a big plus.

Traveling across India will be required as part of regular job duties.

The role reports to VP (Marketing), and to the CEO (Marketing).Positions are based across multiple cities including Noida, Agra, Lucknow.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Understand the Smart Metering Projects (AMI/MDM) requirements and get it implemented in timely Manager.
  • Generate lead in smart metering project.
  • Respond to various RFI/RFP/RFQ requests, Co-ordinate and Collaborate with business development, delivery and Vertical/horizontal pre sales teams to develop winning
  • Analyze and understand customer requirements received via RFP/Non-RFP route and ensure key messages are appropriately incorporated.
  • Support pursuit team to define the marketing and development strategy, win themes and value proposition to the client.
  • Review and proof read RFX responses and client presentations for quality, cohesiveness of win themes, and accuracy of content and
    prepare presentations.
  • Build effective relationships with external (clients, Govt. agencies) and internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Legal, Admin, Pre sales Team etc.) to ensure submission of bid proposals as per defined timelines.
  • Research prospective clients in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement
  • Understand the target markets, including analyzing historical business practices and prepare market strategies customized for the specific market
  • Collaborate with software, operations and sales teams to ensure that requirements are met
  • Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects with existing clients
  • Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on competitors
  • Drive and own end to end process of Tender handling

Qualifications and Key Components:

  • Degree in Marketing and/or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years experience in BD/Sales/marketing functions in Smart Metering Project.
  • Projects with minimum of 2 years in project leading roles, having successfully delivered 2 to 4 large size projects.
  • Experience in Development and Project Management of at least 1 full scale MDM or AMI Project.
  • Working in any of the utility Projects like Power and Water utilities will be preferred.
  • Good understanding of Power Sector Primarily Distribution, EPC and IT enabled projects (e.g. Smart Metering)
  • Ability to manage proposal repository (for medium to large scale deals) and curate standard bid content in terms of stakeholder mapping and competition landscape.
  • Recruit suitable candidates for the group, induct new members.
  • Help team members in laying down their performance plans and manage/ enhance their performance.
