Position Summary:
Pivotree is looking to hire a Project Manager/Scrum Master who will be part of the DaaS team under the Innovation practice, your primary role would be to lead through influence and credibility, serve as a bridge between product management and development/engineering teams, keep the teams organized and focussed to deliver high quality products to our customers.
Job Description
- Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
- Plan and set up agile ceremonies - sprint planning, daily scrum, reviews, retros, etc. to monitor sprint progress
- Effectively manage project resources, take corrective action/steps whenever necessary and report the overall progress
- Support a culture of continuous process improvement through sprint retrospectives and key indicators around team performance
- Promote transparency and empowerment across teams
- Apply project management tools/techniques and drive project-related change management
- Manage multiple stakeholders, align on common goals, communicate risks, run effective meetings for expectation setting and help remove any impediments or roadblocks
- Collaborate effectively across teams to define goals and ensure the team is aware of key milestones for on time delivery and within the budget
- Demonstrate strong capabilities to engage directly with product owner and be able to pivot to granular detail within working teams
- Work with product manager to establish a project plan, facilitate requirements gathering, drive the creation of integrated project plans and execute the projects from initiation to the successful completion of project goals/deliverables
- Integrate, synthesize, and maintain project/program documentation from multiple teams
Skills Required
- Bachelors degree with 7+ years of product and project development experience on an Agile Team
- Additional certification in agile and scrum methodologies is a must-have credential
- Must have handled multiple projects simultaneously with good understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles, practices, and tools such as JIRA, Trello or similar
- Training, mentoring, and supporting teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices
- Highly proficient with dashboarding/reporting, data crunching and data-based decision making
- Experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach through the usage of burndown techniques, various retrospective formats etc.,
- Should be proactive with effective communication skills and have an excellent approach to the details
