Roles and Responsibilities
- Administration of Red hat Linux systems and other Linux flavour
- Administration of AIX systems with complete troubleshooting
- Explore and integrate new technologies, transitioning operations from traditional administration and deployment to infrastructure as application leveraging automation/configuration management technologies
- Work with the product development team to implement and support client offerings
- Installation, set up, configuration and maintenance of Java Application Servers, Apache Web Servers, Cisco Firewalls, and Database Servers
- Assists/Configuration/Troubleshooting with backup, and restoration/recovery.
- Respond to alerts issued by our monitoring systems
- Strong scripting expertise including bash, Perl, Python and UNIX Shell scripts
- Experience in Middleware's - Apache, Apache tomcat, Nginx, Node, Zookeeper, Redshift, Kafka, API gateway (WSO2), Load balancing and reverse proxy rules configuration (HAProxy).
- Implement vulnerability and operating system patches to insure compliance and system integrity.
- Works with application teams to install operating system updates, patches, version upgrades as required.
- Code repository Management (SVN, GitHub / Gitlab, Bitbucket, Shell Scripting.
