Design, maintain and document complex QAD systems environments and system performance measurement.
Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (CommVault, Veeam, Avamar, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers).
Examine backup software performance and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures
Configure backup policy for new backup clients.
Perform regular DR (Disaster Recovery) test plan of backup data restoration and storage replication availability.
Perform offsite tape recall when needed for backup recovery.
Provide evidence for annual external and internal audit requirements.
Maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems uptime and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of all Cloud Customer environments in a 24/7 on-call team.
Maximize performance through ongoing and ad hoc system examination.
Provide direct and indirect customer interaction and response to tickets.
Disseminate knowledge and experiences with the rest of the team.
Administration of QAD Active directory and domain controllers
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment, as well as operational, configuration, or other procedures.
Endpoint Antivirus management and updates.
Create and maintain reports for patch compliance and system audit data and participate in OS patch management and coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field
Should have Redhat Certification(RHCE).
5 to 8 years of Linux and AWS experience is required along with Windows, Vmware experience is a plus.
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Powershell, Python), etc.
Strong knowledge of Redhat Enterprise Linux.
Strong knowledge & experience in working on Windows 2016 / 2012 / 2008 server environment.
Strong knowledge on Active Directory Infrastructure, Group policy management and powershell script to automate system administration tasks.
Strong Knowledge in Backup and storage products like Veeam, Commvault, Avamar, Netapp etc..
Hands-on Working experience on Windows Software Update Service (WSUS).
Hands-on experience on VMware Infrastructure.
Linux/Windows server troubleshooting, Log analysis and root cause analysis for down situation.
Must be able to work under pressure & meet deadlines
