Roles and Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Product Management:-

a. Market Research & Actions: To monitor market moves for indicated products and propose actions toward product development as well as pricing. Provide critical inputs to business plans.

b. To ensure develop right specifications for the existing products/new products, meeting customer requirement/market requirement and give to design for development

c. Ensuring information availability to the design team and sales prior to project acceptance and during product development.

d. Communicating with the design team for end-to-end activities of product development. Activities include Work Order/PIN creation and/or modification, communication of customer requirement, customization/up-gradation request, provision of the customer list, quantity required, field trial schedule report, etc.

e. Proposal and tracking of Certifications & product approvals as per market requirement for product positioning & selling.

f. Ensure field trials with the help of the sales team and analyze & give feedback to the design team

g. Take complete charge of Product Design to Product Launch cycle, product Life Cycle management.

2. Product Promotion: -

a. Create a product road map, promote products while selecting the desired media within feasible budgets in line with the business plan

b. Creating Promotional material like flyers, mailers, videos, Application Notes, tech documents, user manuals, training documents, newsletter, updating websites, etc.

c. Preparing & Participating in events like exhibitions, seminars, conferences to brand our products & BD to take leads from there

d. Keeping product information updated on all media like websites and other online media.

3. Business Development: -

a. Sales Management - In coordination with Sales, get the Projections right, do necessary data analysis, revisit the business plan and take appropriate decisions, align Manufacturing Plan according to projections.

b. Execute Marketing plans for various territories- including Promotion plan, dealer set up plan, various schemes to penetrate the market, setting up distributors, Developing & training the Sales team, if required. A competent person can even contribute actively to create market plan.

c. Key Customer Management - Ensuring to close orders and develop relationships to generate more revenue for the defined set of customers

d. Create new business opportunities while researching potential leads through campaigns, conferences, references, inquiries and tapping them

e. Know customers closely in terms of need & see where our products could be positioned & make sales pitch accordingly

f. Provide inputs to Market Strategy & business plan with direct customer feel & data.
