Roles and Responsibilities
- Support and assist in driving the Mercer vision, strategy, and best practices necessary to produce the highest quality software for Mercer Outsourcing's internal and external clients.
- Collaborates with onshore stakeholders to communicate project status, resource needs and escalates issues that may arise to management team.
- Follow SDLC, Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies as expected by any respective deliverables.
- Collaborate in the execution of RTB/STB elements of the Mercer Outsourcing Application Development Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), participation in the refinement of our SDLC, and partnership with other groups such as PMO, Development, and Technical Product Management, Implementation & Configuration teams to insure successful execution of projects.
- Drive the support and adherence of the Standard Testing Life Cycle (STLC) methodologies, including project estimation, project plans, test strategies, test plan writing, execution, and related documentation.
- Responsible to provide inputs on the organization initiatives being carried out in teams.
- Responsible for Resource Planning, Growth of FTEs, Skill-set fit.
- Assist in managing headcount for the span.
- Foster an environment of recognition, innovation, and partnership amongst Application Development staff and our business partners.
- Assist in managing the budget and headcount.
- Leads the project planning effort with the test lead on the project. This includes input on the estimate of work as well as the number and skill level of resources required.
- Plans and coordinates project schedules and make assignments for multiple projects.
- Utilizes his or her experience to help determine the impact to other functions, to anticipate obstacles in delivery.
- Create, coordinate and implement employee mandatory and technical training.
- Supervises staff including mid-year and annual staff appraisals and performance reviews.
- Act as first point of escalation from Mercer India for any support required for production issues, which occurs during onshore business hours.
- Act as a strategic business partner with consultants and Business Analysts to ensure that client needs drive the products, services and solutions.

- Should be able to execute transition plan for new project work
- Should have the ability to collate and analyze project metrics
- Ability to manage (delivery, Quality & tracking) multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as exemplified by clear issue explanations, documentation and effective intra- and inter-group communications
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to multitask and work independently with minimum supervision to meet firm deadlines
