About the role
Product Owner leads multiple Agile SCRUM teams as product owner. The Product Owner is responsible for co-developing the vision and strategy of the product by collaborating with Product Managers, product owners, architects, RD leadership. He/she develops and communicates the strategic direction for the software teams. He/She collaborates with user experience team to define intuitive user experience to our users. He/She collaborates with RD stakeholders to define the non-functional roadmap for the product.
Specific details about the role are as follows:
- As a part of this role you will be leading one of SaaS application as product owner.
- As part of this role you will be responsible for leading multiple software development squads for product development
- You will be responsible to plan the program increment by collaborating with other product owners and architects by taking in to account all cross-backlog dependencies.
- You will be responsible to regularly sync with all stakeholders to manage the product roadmap, product backlog, inter-backlog dependencies and risks towards our software releases.
- You will participate in SCRUM ceremonies to translate product requirements into user stories, define acceptance criteria, and guide prioritization of backlog.
- You will also be involved in Supportability, Serviceability and Deployability aspect of Cloud Services which can help Barco Software Development groups achieve desired SLA for their cloud services.
- You will work closely with Developers and other Product Owners, System and Solution architects as well as DevOps Architects across different locations to define and gain adoption of clean, well-designed contracts and best practices across the entire product line.
About the Successful Candidate
The successful candidate is a self-motivated leader who can deal with complex problems, has a vision to take the organization to the next level. He/She should be able to understand complex SaaS product requirements and should have excellent stake holder management capabilities. The candidate must be experienced in developing applications as well and should be able to understand the complexities of software development for Hardware Devices and Cloud.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/B.S./M.S. followed by MBA from a reputed institute.
- At least 12 years of experience in building software products out of which last 3-5 years in SaaS product development as Product Owner.
- A demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, customer experience, product technical challenges and process improvement. Ability to understand digital customer journey, user experience and translate it in to product roadmap and product backlog to deliver incremental customer value.
- Good experience in implementing geographically distributed cloud SaaS products using microservices based architecture for large user base.
- Extensive experience in driving and implementing the non-functional requirements in products, for example, reliability, scalability, robustness, deployability, DevOps. Has a good understanding of Azure and Amazon cloud platform.
- Experience in Cloud service capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance analysis and system tuning.
- Ability to lead conversation in a room with architects, designers, developers, product managers and product owners.
- Proven ability to develop and ship high quality software products in Agile development environments.
- Should have high emotional quotient, self-driven and shows technology leadership in complex and ambiguous situations.
