Job Summary: UPL is seeking a Business Development Manager to extend our reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships along the food value chain. Promoting sustainable agriculture to achieve sustainable development goals with food value chain partners thereby promoting our product and services.
JOb Responsibilities:
- Managing both our existing food value chain partners and developing new business opportunities.
- Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships with food value chain partners.
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with UPL targets
- Build and track new business development performance and report out metrics.
- Support Regions and country teams to map business potential with Food value chain partners and collaborate to deliver the sales.
- Be the point person on monitoring and evaluating food value chain trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy with the regions and implement proposals aligned to the objectives.
- Implement sustainability certification process with food value chain partners
- Encourage crop programs through coaching agronomics and product stewardship to various food value chain partners in the geography
- Generate new leads, identify, contact decision-makers and screen potential business opportunities
- Support model farms creation and communicate results with partners and internal stakeholders.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Agribusiness companies in Business Development, Marketing & B2B Sales & Negotiations
- BSC Agri & MBA Agri Business Management(preferred)
- The ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build the UPL brands that help bring solutions to our food value chain customers and partners
- Successful track record in KAM, food value chain partner management and negotiation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Proven ability to plan and manage resources, Ability to prepare and deliver presentations
- Ability to work and engage with different cultures will be valuable.
- Ability to work in agile, fast paced work environment.
