JOB DETAIL

CMC Engineers will oversee monitoring critical system elements and engaging in proactive as systems application monitoring and provide 24/7 proactive operational monitoring and support. This position is responsible for technical support and issues that come into the CMC queues via customer and/or monitoring software.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Providing 24X7 monitoring, application and infrastructure support for multiple platforms like AWS, Azure, Hansen Data Centers
Providing initial level of infrastructure support environment which contains more than over 4000 servers. These include maintaining the health and uptime of their servers, applications, databases, and other infrastructure devices.
Troubleshooting application and system issues of addressing alerts related to the production and maintenance servers.
Need to monitor alerts through CloudWatch, SolarWinds, Splunk, mails alert and Linux Windows machines.
Required to take action on the alerts are per Standard Operating Procedures.
Act as the first line of troubleshooting engineers for all incidents and events.
Monitoring the performance and capacity of computer systems in real-time and responding to alerts as per Service Level Agreements
Performing regular checks on the production stack to ensure the applications, systems and services are running in an optimal fashion.
Inform critical service outage to delivery managers and technical support team and escalate issues for timely resolution; notify appropriate stakeholder.
Maintenance of Knowledge base and technical documentation of processes and procedures used throughout normal operations.
Maintain tickets of all events and their lifecycle.
Work on daily request and tasks as assigned to the team.

Strong interpersonal/communication skills
Intermediate understanding on Application monitoring and troubleshooting.
Basic Networking skills routers, firewalls, switches, LAN, WAN monitoring.
Intermediate Server monitoring and troubleshooting. Windows, Linux platforms.
Work well in a busy team, being quick to learn and able to deal with a wide range of issues.
Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources.
Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly.
Ability to work independently and accommodate various shifts in a 24x7x365 environment.
Capable of multitasking, good time management, and prioritization of workload
