Position: QA Manager
Location: Remote
Typical Responsibilities
- Create and manage the LAB/ test infrastructure needs
- Guide team on technical issues on automation, integration, performance, and other testing areas.
- Spearhead initiatives on PoCs, innovations, and optimization drive for newer tools, frameworks, and processes.
- Manage overall project deliveries as per agreed timelines, scope, and quality SLAs
- Responsible for Working with various stakeholders on test environment preparation, configuration, integrations, etc.
- Assigning Resources and Managing resource levels Issue resolution
- Management of risks particularly from the QA team, automation, product quality
- Prepare test strategy, test plan, test report, and other test artifacts as required by the project team
- Identify and Report key testing metrics
- Conducting testing audits to ensure compliance with practices
- Plan, monitor, optimize and report KT plan for team members
- Training/skilling team members on functional / automation testing for product
- Lead, manage, coach, and assign tasks to engineers and technical personnel.
- Hold a high-quality technical bar and actively work to improve quality.
- People management aspects such as hiring, mentoring, career planning, conflict management, performance assessment, etc
- Maintains expert-level knowledge of tools and automated processes for efficiency and robust QA practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or Electronics and communication engineering, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience as a hands-on Automation lead / manager with a Functional, System, and User Acceptance test background
Must-haves
Experience in handling Embedded, Software, and System test teams
- Expertise in framework design and improvement in Automation testing
- Should have strong experience managing as Test Manager in Automation & functional testing
- Working experience on CI/CD and automation pipeline
- Experience in providing technical expertise throughout the product life cycle including design, implementation, and delivery of scalable build/test/release infrastructure.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under dynamic requirements and deadlines.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Highly data-driven and pays attention to detail.
- Leadership capabilities, should be able to mentor and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
Good to have
- Proficiency with Agile / Scrum or similar collaborative tools a plus.
- Knowledge on IoT products
