JOB DETAIL

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor team production, processing times, audit trends, and team consistency.
  • Develop, monitor, and execute on team revenue goals and efficiency initiatives as directed by senior leadership.
  • Resolve or escalate customer service or program issues as directed by senior leadership.
  • Understand customer guidelines and standards applicable to legal spend management.
  • Assist leadership with maximizing goal opportunities by assessing historical, seasonal receipts, reviewing invoice queue(s), and current legal associate team deployment.
  • Provide training and mentoring to new Legal Associates and partners with leadership on reviewing and enhancing training workflow as needed.
  • Provide team performance related feedback to management for merit, career enhancement and improvements.
  • Effectively manage invoice volume and workflow in accordance with customer standards.
  • Assist with implementing/managing complex workflows, invoice routing, and unique customer program requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for the team concerning professional development, program administration, application and/or network usage; personnel matters, etc.
  • Performs all the above functions in addition to assigned Legal Associate tasks and responsibilities.

Required Skills:

  • Communication: Excellent spoken and written English comprehension.
  • Team Management: Experience in training, mentoring, and developing junior staff, and measuring team/individual performance and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Operations Management: Proven track record of managing in a production driven environment with strong emphasis on customer service and efficiency.
  • Technical Skills: Standard computer skills and ability to become proficient in Bottomline s legal spend management applications.
  • Decision making: Exercises independent judgment based on training, data, and information available and assumes responsibility for decisions.
  • Quality: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of work.
  • Ethics: Ability to work with and for other team members in a culture of collaboration.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment, take feedback positively and support team members in sharing knowledge and work assignments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in insurance litigation and/or legal spend management.
  • Experience working as part of a global team.
  • Experience working in a remote setting.

Education and Experience:

  • 6 years of experience as a Legal Associate in insurance litigation, costs law, or as a Legal Expense Auditor.
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) or equivalent.
