JOB DETAIL

  • As a UX Designer/Researcher you will work closely with project stakeholders and fellow designers from around the globe.
  • You will create and refine target personas to help our developers understand who they are building software for: what are the problems, goals, and optimal solutions for these infrastructure professionals? Our users and solving their unique problems should be the core of your focus.
  • You will then work within the context of an established user-centered design process to create proposals expressed as low and high-fidelity prototypes. Finally, you will test and validate your ideas through usability labs.

In your role you will

  • Collaborate closely with the product team: product manager, fellow designers, developers, and quality assurance
  • Conduct research activities, internally and externally (interviews, usability testing etc.)
  • Create and validate personas and workflows
  • Translate user research findings into design improvements
  • Create prototypes of different fidelity, following established guidelines
  • Act as a design thinking advocate, building and strengthening the design community at Bentley

We expect you to have

  • A professional portfolio showcasing problem solving skills
  • Good understanding of basic UX design competencies (research, interaction design, usability testing), and hands-on experience of any competence of choice
  • We don t expect you to be a great visual designer, but an eye for details is a must!
  • Presentation and storytelling skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English

Additional points for

  • Familiarity with technical constraints as they apply to designing for different platforms
  • Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience or related field
  • Familiarity with engineering workflows
