As a UX Designer/Researcher you will work closely with project stakeholders and fellow designers from around the globe.
You will create and refine target personas to help our developers understand who they are building software for: what are the problems, goals, and optimal solutions for these infrastructure professionals? Our users and solving their unique problems should be the core of your focus.
You will then work within the context of an established user-centered design process to create proposals expressed as low and high-fidelity prototypes. Finally, you will test and validate your ideas through usability labs.
In your role you will
Collaborate closely with the product team: product manager, fellow designers, developers, and quality assurance
Conduct research activities, internally and externally (interviews, usability testing etc.)
Create and validate personas and workflows
Translate user research findings into design improvements
Create prototypes of different fidelity, following established guidelines
Act as a design thinking advocate, building and strengthening the design community at Bentley
We expect you to have
A professional portfolio showcasing problem solving skills
Good understanding of basic UX design competencies (research, interaction design, usability testing), and hands-on experience of any competence of choice
We don t expect you to be a great visual designer, but an eye for details is a must!
Presentation and storytelling skills
Fluency in both written and spoken English
Additional points for
Familiarity with technical constraints as they apply to designing for different platforms
Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience or related field
