Primary Role

• Controlling and monitoring user access to the database Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
• Controlling user access permissions and privileges
• Developing, managing and testing backup and recovery plans Ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly
• Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system Installing and upgrading the database server
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL development
• Work on Linux and Unix shell scripting
