Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business results
- Mine and analyze data from various data sets to provide actionable insights
- Employ machine learning and statistical methods to automate and optimize the IT and delivery functions
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
- Work with development team by providing end-to-end analytics and machine learning solutions
- Produce relevant documentation related to model performance
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or STEM degree, PHD Degree Preferred
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques such as natural language processing, classification, clustering, optimization, deep neural network, good understanding of mathematical underpinning and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
- Extensive experience of using programming languages (Python, SAS, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data, develop models and derive insights
- Knowledge of current modeling tools such as XGBoost or Vowpal Wabbit (or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with predictive modeling and analytics
- Good problem decomposition skills and autonomy when faced with solving data problems.
- Hands-on experience with database and analytical technologies
- Hands-on experience with Spark, and Databrick
- Hands-on experience deploying analytical models to solve business problems
- Ability to develop experimental and analytical plans for data modeling processes
- Must be client-facing, go-getter, and hands-on
- Must be able to work independently with minimal direction
- Must collaborate with teams across the organization
- Must have very good documentation and presentation skills
- Self-Starter, motivated and proactive with strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple efforts
- Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels
- Problem-solving; ability to break complex issues into manageable pieces and function successfully in a high-pressure, quick-turnaround environment
