Position Description
This position is for a Python Developer with some Linux DevOps experience
We are looking for colleagues with a strong sense of ownership and ability to drive solutions. The role is primarily responsible to automate the existing process and bring new ideas and innovation.
The candidate is expected to code, conduct code reviews, and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of the SDLC.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work without or minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and provide solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our test and production environments.
Provide internal support and scalability for our continuously evolving engineering environment.
Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization
Identify automation opportunities to improve our existing process
Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in a distributed online consumer applications environment
Direct experience with Python/Django and bash scripting. Ansible is a plus
Experience with relational databases. Experience with NoSQL is a plus.
Have experience or at least strong interest in tools development and automation
Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code
Excited to learn new technologies and tools as our applications and systems evolve
Experience in Scrum development techniques a plus
Working in a team environment where attention to source management, quality and code documentation is expected
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently
Passion for best practices in computer science disciplines, object orientation, test driven design, and code reuse
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
