Job Brief:
Application Security is that who introduces a secure software development life cycle to development teams are included in application security shortly known as AppSec. Its ultimate purpose is to improve security practices and, as a result, detect, repair, and, ideally, avoid security flaws in applications. It covers the entire application life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Must have these App Security tools experience e.g-(DevSecOps, SAST/DAST, Code review, Vuln mgmt, App Penn test)
Developing and maintaining software application security policies and procedures
Providing technical leadership, guidance, and direction to the application security team
Developing and maintaining documentation of application security controls
Implementing software application security controls
Designing technical solutions to address security weaknesses
Analyzing system services, spotting issues in code, networks, and applications
Following security best practices in performing tasks
Technical Skills and Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Security or related fields
Familiarity with common security libraries, security controls, and common security flaws.
Basic development or scripting experience and skills.
Experience with OWASP, static/dynamic analysis, and common security tools.
A basic understanding of network and web-related protocols (such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, protocols).
Experience working with developers.
Excellent and professional communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to articulate complex topics in a clear and concise manner.
Experience identifying security issues through code review.
