Oracle Database Administration

Database monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning tasks

Installs, configures and maintains the database management systems software

Database backup and recovery procedures

Designing and implementing database security

Requires at least five years of database administration experience working with various database management systems

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong knowledge of SQL queries including stored procedures, functions and triggers

Good analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions

Demonstrated knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures

Good interpersonal skills; effective team player

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines

Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
