Team size: around 10 on this team, 24 tech people in whole team.  All software developers.  Team manages the student curriculum management system, artek stack (public mobile app), salesforce, and internet.  Also custom applications: shared service, HR, legal, employee health, clinical system: monitoring med equipment and inventory stuff.

Scope of Position

Software Engineering Team is a solution-driven team that provides custom development services, enterprise application platforms, workflow services and tailored analytics to improve business processes and leverage existing solutions within organization.  Our team accomplishes these services by utilizing analysts to understand our business processes and systems, utilizing technical and solution architects to validate the technical direction of the designed solution, and utilizing developers to develop and integrate the solution.  Our solutions engage many roles in our organization (internally and externally) including clinicians, researchers, administrators and shared services.

Position Summary

Responsible for the design, development, implementation and deployment of native Android/iOS applications and web services to meet business process initiatives.  Collaborate with others to ensure application functionality and user accessibility. Collaborate with the development team on mobile application strategies, policies and methodologies.  Support the development team by participating in an on-call rotation and helping enhance/maintain and support existing custom built products.

Minimum Qualifications

A college degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience; 4-8 years of experience in Information Technology (preferably experience in mobile application development, web services, programming, etc.); 2+ years of experience in native application development / design using Android Studio/Java/Kotlin for Android OS

Experience

Experience in mobile development / design such as Java/Kotlin for Android OS

Experience with mobile application architecture and Object-Oriented concepts techniques

Experience in security and accessibility best practices in software design
