Primary Responsibilities and Duties:•The Developer hasa key role in coding, installing, unit testing, documenting andmaintaining leading edge technology platform and/or clientapplications.
•The individual must demonstrate their knowledge ofcritical thinking and problem solving skills and in implementing cutting edgetechnology to solve business problems.
•Develop, maintain, and deliver business systemsapplications using the most efficient and effective programming languageand approach. Write code based on the business/technical specifications.
•Develop unit test case or text class and perform unittesting of the code.
•Develop and maintain technical documentation.
•Maintain and improve the performance of existingsystems. Maintain existing systems and debug existing source code andpolish feature sets. Recommend and implement processimprovements.
•Confer with team lead, development team and businessclients to develop content criteria and to confirm requirements andspecifications. Communicate problems and issues with applicationsto team leads and senior developers.
•Continuously learn and improve skills byparticipating in formal and informal educational opportunities, reading professionalpublications, and maintaining personal networks.
MinimumEducation and/or Experience Requirements:•Bachelor’s degree plus at least twoyears related experience; or at least six years related experience; orequivalent combination of education and experience.
•Computer Science preferred but not required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:•Experiencein software development and unit testing including both website and desktopapplications.
•Experience programming in a relational database including structured query language and defined data structures (e.g. DDL andT-SQL)
•Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA)design
•Experience using source code management tools (e.g.TFS 2013)
•Third Party Tools (e.g. Telerik)
•Experience with all phases of the SoftwareDevelopment Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing,debugging and documentation
•BPM Tools such as PMNSoft
•Demonstrates strong proficiency in multiple languagesand tools such as VB.Net or C#.Net, and ASP.NET
•Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle andsystems design
•RDBMS skills including SQL Server 2012/2014
•Strong proficiency in front-end web design such asJava Script, HTML 5, and CSS
•Solid understanding of User Interface frameworks(e.g. Angular JS Framework)
•Knowledge of responsive frameworks (e.g. Boot Strap)
•Proficient in service-oriented architecture (SOA)
•Proficient in products that provide source codemanagement (e.g. TFS 2013)
•Proficient in Web Services (e.g. Rest/SOAP API)
•HTML proficiency (e.g. HTML 5)
•Strong problem solving, analytical, critical thinkingand decision making skills
•Must be a creative and innovative thinker
