Top 4 Requirements:

 

- 2+ years of experience in a similar role (development background or system administration background is great)

 

- Python or other programming experience, but Python preferred

 

- Ansible, Terraform, and/or Splunk

 

- Experience building CI/CD pipelines

 

Plusses:

 

- VMware experience

 

- Kubernetes

 

- Any cloud experience (this team operates on AWS)

 

Day to Day/Project:

 

Responsible for supporting cloud and lab platform and infrastructure services for software development teams.

 

They also work with teams to identify and repair issues on an as-needed basis, so strong communication skills are important in this position.

 

They are generally expected to work well under pressure with tight deadlines for certain tasks, and a proactive demeanor and friendly disposition are also helpful.

 

They may work with junior and senior engineers, project managers, scrum masters and executives.

 

Engineer will provide client support for access to lab services and lab infrastructure, support upgrades and maintenance of lab infrastructure, implement automation in lab and AWS cloud to manage deployments, upgrades, deletion of unused infrastructure, and gather security information about the lab environment for security auditors.

 

2 - 5 years of experience for a Level III

 

We have 40+ platform services, all used to varying degrees. The critical/most used are:

 

GitLab, BitBucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, SwaggerHub, API Fortress, Terraform Enterprise, Stash, Crowd, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, datadog, splunk, VMWare

 

 

 

Programming languages: Python, Javascript, some sql and other as needed (ie go)
