JOB DETAIL

Product Manager

State of California

The Product Manager shall have at least five (5) years full time equivalent (FTE) of leading a project through planning and execution while managing risks and issues and preparing and presenting monthly status reports.

The Product Manager shall have at least three (3) years FTE of management experience with creating Product Vision, Product Roadmaps, Release Plans, and/or Sprint Plans.

The Product Manager shall have at least three (3) years FTE of leading Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives and Daily Standup meetings.

The Product Manager shall hold a current certification related to Scrum.

Product Manager:

Collaborate with the Product Owner to create & prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it aligns with the overall project goals and vision.
Facilitate Steering committee meetings to inform the project health, risks and issues and any decisions necessary.
Participate in sprint planning meetings to understand the scope of work for each sprint cycle and set achievable sprint goals.
Work with the scrum team to allocate resources appropriately based on their capacity allocated by the resource managers for the project effort.
Foster a collaborative and self-organizing scrum team environment, ensuring that team members are empowered and motivated to deliver high-quality work.
Track and monitor project progress in Azure DevOps tool using metrics such as burndown charts, velocity and sprint cycle time.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospective meetings.
Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement within the team by conducting retrospective and implementing feedback.
Address conflicts within the team and work to resolve any impediments that may impact the team’s ability to deliver.
Ensure that the team follows ETS Hybrid methodology best practices, including test-driven development, continuous integration and automated testing to maintain product quality.
Oversee the documentation process, ensuring that necessary documentation is created and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Promote collaboration with customers or end-users, seeking feedback and incorporating it into the development process.
Manage the project budget, making sure that resources are utilized efficiently and within the allocated financial constraints.
Embrace change and be adaptable to evolving requirements, adjusting project plans as needed to meet customer needs by submitting change requests if necessary.
