JOB DETAIL

The candidate needs to have more hands on experience with the tools stack mentioned in the JD(ELK Stack, Postgres, Debezium(or any change data management tool))

He needs to have experience with Databases. Experience with real-time change data management in databases like DynamoDB, Elastic Search & Postgres

All DB management best practices like data retention, persistence, logging, reconciliation.

One of the uses cases we would like him to have experience is did he ever have DB out of sync situation and how did he resolve them.

Technical Experience:

  • Has 10+ years’ experience
  • Hands on experience in Bigdata (Kafka, Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana)
  • Hands on experience in Hortonworks Data Platform or Cloudera Distribution stacks
  • AWS development experience using services (Data Pipeline, Data Base Migration, AWS Kafka)
  • Required Experience in SQL or ORACLE (Must), Data Modeling Concepts, DB best practices (data retention, persistence, logging & reconciliation).
  • AWS database modeling & development experience in (RDS with Postgres SQL, DynamoDB)
  • Hands on experience in CDC process/tools for any of the above listed Database services (Added Advantage if knowledge in Debezium)
  • Required experience with Data Engineering and ETL/EDW Design Process and Practices.
  • Experience with GIT / Bit Bucket / SVN configuration for code check-in/Check-out and CI CD knowledge.
  • Experience with Rest API Process (PUT/GET)
  • Experience in Agile Methodology using SCRUM or Kanban
  • Insurance domain experience is a plus.
  • Handling Client experience will be added advantage
  • Critical thinking/solutioning during challenging situations (Usecase: Out of sync or data lost situations and how did he/she resolve)
