High-Level Individual Duties:

• Using Java to build data pipelines & modernize services that deliver data? they are trying to get out of the legacy platform (talk to systems like SFDC & Workday)

o All event driven data (domain events platform is AWS)

Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):

• Data Engineering background as well as Software Engineer

• Solid Java skills, specifically event driven

• Batch & Streaming data experience

o They use Kafka, but we just need a pub sub model rather than Kafka specific expertise

• Should have some good skills in Oracle / PL/SQL / Triggers / Indexing

o If they have other Relational DBs, that’s fine…just need someone smart

• DevOps – Should have ideally worked in a modern app development environment (know CI/CD)

Nice-to-Haves (Concepts & Tools):

• Snowflake is really nice to have

• AWS – S3, Lambdas (cloud is really nice if they are a smart person)
