•             Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Sciences, Engineering or Computer Science and 5 years of relevant experience, with increasing independence and complexity of assignments.

•             5+ years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design.

•             Proficient with visual design programs such as Adobe Photoshop and others.

•             Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces.

•             Experience with coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and comparable languages.

•             Professional written and interpersonal skills when communicating with uses and development staff.

•             Experience creating storyboards and website mapping

•             Prior work with New York State

Description

User Experience (UX) staff will need to understand how users interact with and experience the system. UX includes a person's perceptions of utility, ease of use, and efficiency. To improve UX, staff will utilize a variety of industry standard tools and techniques.

Duties

•             Understand and document business goals and technical specifications.

•             Understand and document personas and UX research reports.

•             Generate sitemaps and information architecture.

•             Develop experience maps, user journeys and user flows.

•             Build UX wireframes.

•             Build interactive prototypes.

•             Create visual designs.

•             Generate style-guides and specifications for developers.

•             Perform usability testing and generate usage analytics reports.
