Role: Oracle Functional / Technical Consultant
Location: Pasadena, CA (Hybrid Remote)
Need GC/GC EAD and USC Only
A contractor is needed in Pasadena, CA for the role of Oracle Functional / Technical Consultant. The position will assist the Procure to Pay (P2P) Project team with an evaluation of Oracle 12.2 P2P modules capabilities to meet business needs as expressed through Stakeholder Statements of Objectives (SOO) and current business processes.
Work Schedule **This effort will be conducted within a hybrid work model. Current expectation is for 10 days (2 trips) working onsite with the balance being remote. This may be adjusted should unique circumstances arise. Trips will be expensable.
Responsibilities:
· Review business objectives/processes, current Oracle EBS implementation, and custom solutions.
· Highlight and advise on the unused modules and/or capabilities that exist within the EBS Oracle portfolio with the potential for improving the efficiency, effectiveness, of the business stakeholders while reducing EBIS and ITSD system management workload by moving back towards the COTS solutions.
· Analyze and present options for any P2P Statement of Objectives requested by stakeholders
· Recommend and provide rationale for the use of any Oracle modules that client does not currently licensed for, or any Oracle EBS Modules that are not enabled, and/or system features within EBS to be considered for implementation.
· Identify untapped features/capabilities within Oracle EBS 12.2 that will replace or reduce customization, while improving efficiency, effectiveness, reporting, and data access across the business suite.
· Recommend business process improvements or modifications to create a more seamless process/system integration to meet the business needs.
· Recommend system management improvements or modifications for the EBS team
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate degree in Software Engineering or related subject (e.g. Computer Science, Information Science, Finance, Cost Accounting).
· Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years functional Oracle R12 eBusiness Suite (eBS) experience, including at least 2 or more full life cycle implementations on Oracle eBS Release 12.2 for respective modules or technology areas and a strong understanding of the integrations and data flow among the modules
· Strong functional knowledge and experience in Oracle eBS Release 12.2 Applications, specifically in Procure to Pay work stream (Purchasing, Payables, Assets, and Inventory)
· Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate conceptual ideas clearly and effectively;
· Ability to interact effectively with team member as well as with large groups of stakeholders
· Experience in configuring relevant Oracle modules
· Work independently with minimum supervision.
· At least 2 full life cycle R12.2 implementation or production support
· Strong knowledge and experience in two or more Oracle eBS Release 12.2 Applications, specifically in: Financials, Procurement, Logistics, Asset Lifecycle Management, and Manufacturing
· Excellent analytical skills
Desired Skills:
· Knowledge of Oracle Advanced Procurement Modules including Sourcing, Services Procurement and iSupplier Modules
· Experience with non-Oracle, Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader P2P COTS products
Final Deliverable:
· Publish a final report to be delivered orally, with a digital copy to the P2P Project Team, Key Stakeholders, and E2.0 systems engineering team. The report will contain the following:
· Current State Analysis
· Gaps and omissions
· Comparison to best business practices
· Enhanced state analysis evaluating Oracle eBS 12.2 untapped modules and capabilities findings against the:
· Current gaps
· Stakeholders business objectives
· Business process changes that would enable the enhancement
· Enhanced state analysis recommending additional Oracle Modules, if applicable
· Recommendations
Monitoring Progress/Reporting:
· Weekly Tuesday P2P project team meeting. Report progress to date
· Monthly Management Review Participation
· Additional scope may be determined once the effort is underway
