- Designing and integrating RESTful APIs using Java (preferred) or python
- Experience coding secure and scalable customer impacting features using Java, python, or multi-threading experience is ideal
- Architecture and software design experience using design patterns and microservices
- Configuration and setup experience with RDBMS and other data storage solutions (SQL database, database for PostgreSQL, and Redis)
- Experience with designing, reading from and writing to multiple types of persistent data storage; SQL, NoSQL, and file systems
- Log-diving… should know what to log, logging levels and how to quickly traverse through log files and logging systems while troubleshooting
- Cloud awareness on AWS stack
- Experience in all facets of DevOps (AWS CloudWatch, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, and Code Deploy)
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes
- Good written, spoken, and visual communication skills
