Main Responsibilities

• Build distributed cloud based microservices that can efficiently scale with minimal effort.

• Review and participate in design with a focus on microservice best practice.

• Assist in the preparation of software design specifications for implementation of software

designs per Abbott design development process.

• Assist in the evaluation of selected designs through testing and full documentation of the

results.

• Work on problems of moderate to complex scope where analysis of situations or data

requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

• Implement high quality, secure and robust applications with optimal performance suitable for

cloud service application.

• Work collaboratively with cross functional teams.

• Should be a to manage a small team of software engineers

Qualifications

• Must have a strong understanding of microservice architecture. Knowledgeable of relevant

design pattern and best practice.

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline, computer science, related engineering

field.

• Excellent communication skills and be able to work in a cohesive team environment.

• Minimum of 6 years work related experience with microservice architecture and deployment

in enterprise level environment.

• Proficient in Java and familiarity with Spring framework.

• Exposure to cloud base development in Azure.

• Familiarity with container technologies.

• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design principles, design patterns and UML.

• Proficient in relational databases: Oracle and Postgress.
